Calibrachoa ‘Aloha Classic Neon Pink’ – our star plant

Who could resist the vibrant colour of this variety? We liked it so much that we secured it exclusively for BBC Gardeners World Magazine this year. The stems are densely packed with flowers throughout summer. Unlike some other forms of this plant, its habit is low and compact, making it ideal for growing in containers.

Height x spread: 20cm x 30cm
Grow in: Full sun or partial shade
Care: Water two to three times a week, increasing to daily in hot, dry weather

Dahlia ‘Hypnotica™ Lavender’

Early flowering and with a compact form, this selection has large blooms held above lush green foliage. We’ve included it because it performs well in any weather and keeps producing flowers with a minimum of deadheading. It’s equally at home in a flowerbed or a container for summer.

Nemesia ‘Angelart™ Raspberry’

These plants are becoming ever more popular, but this is the first time we’ve seen such an unusual, richly colour form. It keeps its shape well throughout summer and the foliage stays a rich, apple green colour. Trouble-free and producing a mass of flowers, we think it deserves a place in any garden.

Fuschia ‘Artês Upright Jollies Nancy’

With its dense, bushy habit and huge abundance of flowers, this variety easily earns its keep. Naturally free branching, it needs very little care to produce a stunning show. It’s both early to come into bloom and copes with hot, dry weather as well as periods of heavy rain. Ideal to grow in pots and hanging baskets.

Impatiens ‘Petticoat™ Blue Star’

Huge flowers and dark foliage make this an unbeatable variety. This is a healthy and strong growing form, yet is bushy which makes it perfect for containers. We also like the fact that the old petals drop away cleanly when the blooms start to fade. Use it as a centrepiece in a pot or at the front of a flower border.
