In the third part of his outdoor tomato trial, Monty Don shows you how to plant out young tomato plants. He explains the differences between bush types and cordon varieties, and outlines the different requirements of each, including spacing and staking. Monty also advises on feeding, and how to discourage blight. The trial varieties are ‘Losetto’ and ‘Lizzano’ (bush types that are both said to be blight-resistant), and ‘Fandango’ (a cordon type).
