Penstemon 'Flamingo' bears pink, foxglove-shaped flowers, in contrast with dark green, semi-evergreen leaves. Popular in cottage garden schemes, its blooms are a magnet for bumblebees. It’s ideal for growing at the front of a sunny border, or in pots on the patio.

Grow Penstemon 'Flamingo' in full sun to partial shade, in moist but well-drained soil. In colder regions, you may need to offer protection in winter – apply a thick mulch of well-rotted manure or compost in autumn to protect the roots. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering and divide congested clumps in spring.
