Native to California and southern Oregon, Allium falcifolium is a relatively rare, low-growing alpine allium, bearing deep pink-purple shaggy flowers in late summer.
Also known as the scythe leaf onion, Allium falcifolium is perfect for growing in pots on the patio or at the front of sunny borders.
For best results, plant bulbs in fertile, well-drained soil up to three times their diameter. Grow in well-drained soil in full sun.
