Spray chrysanthemums are popular hardy perennials for the cuttings patch, owing to their huge sprays of dramatic flowers from late-summer. Part of the ‘Misty’ series, Chrysanthemum 'Misty Golden' has large, pom-pom-like, fully double flowers in warm yellow. More suited to the cuttings patch rather than as part of an ornamental border, it works wonderfully as a cut flower.
Grow Chrysanthemum 'Misty Golden' in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. If grown in a crowded border plants do not usually need staking, especially if an informal look is desired. However plants may need staking on windier sites, and winter protection is advised in northerly and exposed regions.
