Decorative dahlias bear fully double flowerheads with no visible central disc and often curved petals. They make a fantastic showy cut flower and are also popular with exhibitors.
Dahlia 'Art Deco' is a compact dahlia, perfect for growing at the front of a border. It bears huge, apricot-pink double flowers throughout summer, and is the perfect companion for fellow vareity Dahlia 'Art Nouveau'.
For best results, grow Dahlia 'Art Deco' in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. Deadhead regularly and feed with a potash-rich fertiliser to prolong flowering. Lift tubers after the first frosts and store them in a cool, dry situation until March. Then pot them up and keep them in a temperate greenhouse before planting out in late May.
