The sweet William is a traditional cottage garden perennial, coming in a range of flower colours and forms. It’s technically a short-lived perennial, but is usually grown as a biennial, with seeds sown in summer for flowering plants the following year.
Dianthus ‘Green Trick’ produces unusual green globes of soft, deeply cut petals. It makes an unusual cut flower, its strong stems and large flower heads lasting for several weeks in water. For best results grow Dianthus ‘Green Trick’ in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.
