A highlight of the mid-summer garden, Angel's fishing rod, Dierama pulcherrimum, resembles a fishing rod, bearing long, aching spikes above the grass-like foliage, each one drooping under the weight of pendular pink bells.

Dierama pulcherrimum bears pink-flushed white flowers from June to August. For best results, grow it in a sheltered spot in full sun, in moist but well-drained soil.
