A late-season strawberry, Fragaria x ananassa 'Fenella' produces large, juicy fruit with a good sweet flavour, in July. It's perfect for growing in conjunction with early season strawberries, in order to extend your cropping season.

Fragaria x ananassa 'Fenella' stands up well to adverse weather conditions, and crops heavily. The large strawberries have a glossy, orange-red skin, and store well after picking. Place straw under immature fruits to reduce the chances of slugs eating them, and replace plants every three years, as they gradually produce less fruit with age.
