Heucheras are native to the woodlands of North America. They tend to grow in dense clumps and have brightly coloured foliage. They thrive in shade and make great groundcover plants. While plants are mainly grown for their foliage, inconspicuous flowers in summer add to their charm.
Heuchera 'Lipstick' has silver-green leaves, which contrast beautifully with masses of bright red flower spikes in summer. ‘Lipstick’ is perfect for growing in a sunny border, but will also tolerate shade. For best results, remove faded leaves and deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering.
