Lacecaps and mopheads are the most commonly grown hydrangeas in our gardens. Mopheads have full, round heads of large petals, and lacecaps have flattish flower heads of large outer petals and tiny flowers in the centre.

Hydrangea 'Preziosa' has purple-green foliage and bears masses of mophead flowers throughout summer. Plants grown on neutral to acidic soil bear bright pink flowers, which mature to red and eventually burgundy in autumn. Plants grown on alkaline soil produce blue or mauve flowers.

‘Preziosa' is perfect for growing in a mixed herbaceous border, or a large pot on the patio. It makes an excellent cut flower.
