Iris ‘Skyfire’
Bearded irises are so-named after the ‘beards’ on each of the falls (lower petals) of the flowers. Tall bearded irises grow to a height of around 70cm or more, and flower in late-spring and early summer.
Iris ‘Skyfire’ has golden orange flowers with bright orange beards and a soft fragrance. ‘Skyfire’ is perfect for growing in a mixed herbaceous border or gravel garden, and makes an excellent cut flower.
For best results grow Iris ‘Skyfire’ in well-drained soil in full sun, and mulch with well-rotted manure or garden compost annually.
