Jasminum are evergreen or deciduous shrubs that climb via twining stems. Their fragrant flowers are star-shaped.
Jasminum azoricum is an evergreen climber with white, lemon-scented flowers from late spring to late autumn. It hails from Madeira, so is tender – it can only be grown outdoors if you live in a very mild, coastal area (it is wind and salt tolerant). It is an excellent conservatory plant.
Grow Jasminum azoricum up an obelisk or similar support in a large pot. Cut back after flowering to keep growth in check.
