Libertia formosa is a robust evergreen perennial, forming a mass of sword-shaped, leathery leaves, from which stiff stems carry clusters of bowl-shaped white flowers in late spring and early summer. The flowers are followed by elegant seed pods. It's perfect for a growing in sunny herbaceous border, where it provides year-round interest.

For best results grow Libertia formosa in a sunny, sheltered spot in well-drained soil. Remove old foliage to make way for new growth. Divide congested plants in spring or autumn.
