Microbiota decussata is an unusual spreading conifer, forming a low-growing mat of soft, feathery bright green foliage. In winter this foliage turns a deep bronze. Ideal for growing as groundcover, Siberian carpet cypress softens path edges and cascades over rockeries and walls. The Royal Horticultural Society has awarded it the prestigious Award of Garden merit.

For best results grow Microbiota decussata at the front of the border in full sun.
