Nolana paradoxa 'Blue Bird' is an unusual but useful alternative to petunias. Its bright, sky-blue trumpets with a creamy yellow throat, appear in profusion all summer, studding the top of the bushy, creeping stems. Long blooming and low maintenance, it's easy to grow from seed and is tolerant of drought. It's perfect for using to edge paths and using in hanging baskets.

For best results grow Nolana paradoxa 'Blue Bird' in well-drained soil in full sun. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering.
