Navelwort is a delightful, low-spreading plant for shady corners. It flowers in spring and early summer, producing masses of small, sky-blue blooms similar to those of forget-me-nots.

Omphalodes nitida forms a compact clump of small, shiny green leaves, from which arching sprays of blue, star-shaped flowers emerge. It's a pretty plant, perfect for growing in shady woodland borders. For best results, team them with late spring bulbs, dicentra and solomon's seal in an informal border or light woodland.
