Bred by the renowned East Malling Research Centre, Fragaria x ananassa 'Finesse' is an ever-bearing strawberry, producing masses of delicious, heart-shaped fruit on disease-resistant plants, over a long period. Unlike other varieties, Fragaria x ananassa 'Finesse' produces few runners, so energy is concentrated in producing more fruit. Place straw under immature fruits to reduce the chances of slugs eating them, and replace plants every three years, as they gradually produce less fruit with age.
