Geranium macrorrhizum 'Ingwersen's Variety'

Cranesbill, or hardy geraniums, are perennial border plants with saucer-shaped flowers in shades of pink, purple and blue. They're easy to grow, thrive in shade and flower for months. Geraniums are popular in cottage garden schemes and offer a long season of pollen and nectar for a number of pollinators, particularly bees.

Geranium macrorrhizum 'Ingwersen's Variety' is a particularly lovely cranesbill. It bears pale pink flowers on dark red stems, from June through to October. It's perfect for using as ground cover at the front of borders, and is well suited to growing in pots. It's easy to grow and tolerant of most conditions except waterlogged soil. Suitable for sun or shade. Deadhead spent blooms regularly to prolong flowering.
