Lilium regale is a Chinese lily, and probably the easiest white lily to grow. It bears trumpet-shaped, glistening white flowers flushed with pink, with a heady, memorable perfume. It's perfect for growing in a mixed sunny border or container display, and makes an excellent cut flower. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).

Grow Lilium regale in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Plant bulbs in autumn.
