Prunus x yedoensis, also known as the Tokyo cherry or Yoshino cherry, is a hybrid that produces fragrant white flowers in spring, followed by tiny black fruit. This is an upright tree, with a spreading crown that enjoys full sun. Its leaves are serrated and a rich green colour that provide good autumn colour later in the year, as they turn bright shades of orange and red.

Grow Prunus x yedoensis in moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Mulch annually with well-rotted manure or garden compost.
