Gordon's currant, Ribes x beatonii, is an attractive ornamental currant, with aromatic dark green leaves. In summer dense trusses of small, red and yellow flowers appear. These are extremely attractive to bees and other pollinators.

Grow Ribes x beatonii in moist soil in full sun. Mulch in spring with well-rotted manure or leafmould. Prune annually to keeps plants bushy and rejuvenated.
