Spinacia oleracea 'Medania' is a good, healthy spinach variety, bearing an abundance of dark green leaves with a soft texture and good flavour. It's ideal for raising as a mature leafy crop but also for its baby leaves, which may be used in salads. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).

Grow Spinacia oleracea 'Medania' in moist but well-drained soil in sun to partial shade. Regular sowings every three to four weeks will provide a steady supply of leaves until autumn. Water regularly and remove any developing flowerheads to prolong leaf production.
