Tulipa 'Arabian Mystery'

The tulip is a stalwart of the late-spring garden. There are hundreds to choose from, including traditional, single cup-shaped varieties, double-flowered cultivars and those with elegant, goblet-shaped flowers. Tulips grow best in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. However, they don’t always come back the following year and are therefore often best treated as annuals.

The white-edged, velvet purple petals of Tulipa 'Arabian Mystery' pack quite a punch in borders and pots, and work well with lighter coloured tulips when planted en masse. Grow in a sunny position sheltered from strong winds.

As they require a cold period to produce foliage and blooms, plant Tulipa 'Arabian Mystery' bulbs 15cm deep, before the last frost.
