Meadow buttercup, Ranunculus acris, bears pretty, yellow buttercups from April to October. Our tallest common buttercup, it can reach a height of 90cm.

Ranunculus acris ‘Flore Pleno’ has fully double ‘bachelor button’ flowers. It’s less vigorous than the native species and has a more elegant growth habit. Given the prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM) by the RHS, it’s perfect for naturalising in long grass or boggy areas, the pond edge or along pathways.

Grow Ranunculus acris ‘Flore Pleno’ in moist soil in full sun. Cut back after flowering to encourage a second flush of blooms.
