Few roses are as perfumed as Rosa 'Fragrant Cloud'. Rosa 'Just Joey' is an offspring of that classic variety, and has lost some of its parent's scent but retained its depth of colour. The coppery-orange flowers have pronounced red veining, with the whole bloom fading to a satisfying copper-buff with age. It's also very disease-resistant and undemanding. The blooms make good cut flowers, but they are also stunning when plants are massed together prominently in a bed.

Grow Rosa 'Just Joey' in moist but well-drained soil in full sun. As a hybrid tea rose, it's best pruned from late winter to early spring. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit.
