Autumn daffodil, Sternbergia lutea bears large rich golden-yellow goblet-shaped flowers in autumn. It’s ideal for growing en masse to form carpets of flowers when little else is in bloom.
Native to Greece and the eastern Mediterranean, grow Sternbergia lutea in free-draining soil in full sun, ideally sheltered from cold winds and hard frost by a sunny wall.
