Syringa emodi 'Aureovariegata'

Native to the Himalayas, including Nepal, Himalayan Lilac, Syringa emodi, is a large deciduous shrub, growing up to 5m tall. Fragrant, tubular white flowers are borne in dense branched clusters from June onwards.

Syringa emodi 'Aureovariegata’ bears variegated leaves in fresh green with a darker green central splash. Grow in moist but well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in full sun. Remove spent flowers in summer and mulch annually in spring. Prune lightly in late winter, remembering that most species bear flowers on the previous year’s growth.
