x Rhodoxis is an intergeneric hybrid of Rhodohypoxis and Hypoxis parvula that occurs naturally. Ideal for growing as ground cover in sunny rock gardens, it's also suitable for growing in containers or granite troughs for alpine displays.

x Rhodoxis ‘Fairytale’ has intense pink-purple flowers that contrast with bright yellow anthers. Plant corms 4cm deep in well-drained, humus-rich, neutral to acidic soil. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering. Plants may need protection or lifting in winter. During the summer months, feed regularly with a potash-rich feed, and water regularly. Avoid excessive winter wet.
