What is the Fiskars Xact Pointed Spade like?

This has a sharp, boron steel pointed blade with wide, flat treads that have textured holes in to allow mud through and help feet get extra grip on the blade. The shaft is chunky and ergonomic and made from composite and steel and the D-handle is moulded plastic with a soft-grip rubber insert.

What is the Fiskars Xact Pointed Spade like to use?

This spade feels great. The long ergonomic shaft is kind to the back and is balanced and light, yet strong enough to cut through hard, compacted ground. The handle is comfortable and the shaft has a plastic cover, so it's smooth on the hands. The wide treads on the blade offer good grip. Some shorter users found the ergonomic shaft too long, but this spade is available in both medium and large sizes for different height users.

Will the Fiskars Xact Pointed Spade last?

Crafted from boron steel and composite this spade feels robust and durable. The strong blade is welded to the shaft and although its silver finish scratches off quickly with use it stays rust free.

Is the Fiskars Xact Pointed Spade good value for money?

Not at the lower end of the price scale but this spade is well made with quality materials and it feels strong and robust. With a long warranty of 25 years we think it’s good value for money.

Who is the Fiskars Xact Pointed Spade most useful for?

Light and strong, this good-looking spade is ideal for tall gardeners and anyone with large areas of ground to get ready for planting.
