What is the DeWit Shark Tine Spade like?
This Dutch made, hand-crafted spade has a solid forged, carbon-steel blade with extra sharp, bevelled teeth. Its long socket is bolted to the oiled, solid ash shaft and it has a T-grip handle.
What is the DeWit Shark Tine Spade like to use?
This is a beautiful spade that feels comfortable and sturdy. The T-grip handle is unusual but it’s easy on the hands once you’re used to it and its flexibility makes twisting the spade for lifting and digging very easy. The long shaft makes long, heavy digging jobs comfortable and the razor sharp, zigzag blade slices through soils smoothly and makes light work of cutting plant roots before lifting and transplanting. This spade has no treads, which testers missed but they are available at an extra cost on another model. Although the rivets at the side of the socket are smooth the one proud bolt did occasionally catch on hands.
Will the DeWit Shark Tine Spade last?
The blade and socket are forged from a single piece of carbon steel and bolted on to the shock resistant shaft for extra strength. This is a well thought out spade that will last for many years.
Is the DeWit Shark Tine Spade good value for money?
Handmade from high-quality materials this beautiful spade is a joy to use and has been built to last. It comes with a lifetime warranty and is excellent value for money.
