What is the Wolf Garten Straight Spade like?
This is an ergonomic spade designed to encourage a good digging posture and to help take strain off the back. It has a long shaft and a non-slip D shaped handle which is wide and angled allowing versatility across a range of digging tasks. It’s also bright red to help it stand out in the garden or down on the plot. The blade is induction hardened boron steel for extra strength and has wide treads and the shaft has a comfortable non-slip cover.
What is the Wolf Garten Straight Spade like to use?
For anyone over about 5’6 this is a great, comfortable, hard-working spade. The ergonomic shape and length are tricky for some but this definitely gets easier the more you use it and despite its weight the spade feels well balanced. Sturdy treads help make hard digging easier and the handle is spacious and comfortable. The shaft has a simple non-slip sleeve – no rivets to snag or catch here. Shorter testers will struggle with its length and design.
Will the Wolf Garten Straight Spade last?
The hardened steel blade is built to last and has stiffening ribs along its length to prevent bending. The long shaft is reinforced and this spade feels strong and robust.

Who is the Wolf Garten Straight Spade most useful for?
