What is the Ryobi RBV 3000W Blower Vac?
This mains powered electric blower vac has three modes of use: blowing leaves, grass and light hedge clippings; vacuuming them up and shredding them into a large holding bag; and using just the blower or the vacuum or with both assembled together, so you can swap quickly between the two jobs. It comes with a shoulder strap.
What is the Ryobi RBV 3000W Blower Vac like to use?
It took some time to put this together, but once assembled this was a favourite with our testers who enjoyed its flexibility – you can attach either the blower nozzle or the vacuum nozzle, or both at the same time and switch between the two with an easy-to-use lever.
It feels robust and the fittings are well designed and it’s the most powerful electric model we tested with a 3000W motor. The adjustable speeds are easy to change via a dial, but it is noisy when on full power. It’s also the heaviest electric blower vac we tested but for most testers this wasn’t an issue as it’s well balanced.
It has a shredding ratio of 16:1 and this works well, producing consistent output, suitable for use as compost, leaf mould and mulch.
Who is the Ryobi RBV 3000W Blower Vac most useful for?
The 10m cable is ideal for small to medium gardens. In larger gardens it may be necessary to attach it to an extension lead. Weight may be an issue for older or less able gardeners.
Is the Ryobi RBV 3000W Blower Vac good value for money?
On the whole this mid-priced blower vac is easy to use and it performs well. Only the assembly let it down, so we think it’s excellent value for money.
