What are the Felco No 14 Secateurs like to use?
Following the classic Felco design, but for smaller hands, these compact secateurs have strong, hardened steel blades. They’re well thought out, with a handy wire cutting notch and a sap groove to help keep the blades clean and prevent them sticking together. Their cutting width of 18mm is comparatively limited, but they cut smoothly and easily, only struggling with the thicker, tougher stems. They feel light and comfortable in the hand but the safety catch is very stiff and needs two hands to engage. They come with a key tool to undo the unscrew and replace or adjust the blades.
Are the Felco No 14 Secateurs good value for money?
Although these are at the top end of the price scale, replacement parts and a maintenance service (£25) are available and they come with a lifetime warranty. We think they’re very good value for money.
Who are the Felco No 14 Secateurs most useful for?
These pocket-sized secateurs are best for gardeners with smaller hands and those that are less able or lack strength.
