What are the Spear and Jackson Razorsharp Advance Adjustable Width Premium Bypass Secateurs like to use?
Light and comfortable in the hand with narrow ergonomic handles, these secateurs have strong carbon steel blades. They’re PTFE coated to help keep them free from sap and have a cutting diameter of 20mm. However, in our test they struggled with larger cuts. The centrally positioned safety catch is large but tricky for most size hands to reach. Most testers needed two hands to open them. A handy dial alters the cutting width to suit different hand sizes. No replacement parts are available and the blades aren’t the easiest to sharpen and maintain.
Are the Spear and Jackson Razorsharp Advance Adjustable Width Premium Bypass Secateurs good value for money?
In the mid-range price bracket these come with a 10-year warranty, but for the performance and lack of replacement parts we think they’re reasonable value for money.
Who are the Spear and Jackson Razorsharp Advance Adjustable Width Premium Bypass Secateurs most useful for?
Best for larger, stronger gardeners who can reach the safety catch with ease and apply the force necessary for larger cuts.
