A superb architectural specimen, Italian cypress 'Stricta' is well known for its use in formal Mediterranean gardens to add depth and structure. Best described as the smaller relative of the widely known Photinia fraseri 'Red Robin', this more compact variety has all of the colour and impact of its larger cousin, without taking up as much space! Photinia fraseri 'Little Red Robin' still displays bright red leaves when they first develop which then mature to dark green, and the creamy white flowers in spring show up well against this foliage.

Pretty and compact, Acer palmatum ‘Taylor’ is perfect for smaller gardens, pots and patios, and will provide impact and colour throughout the year. In spring, the dainty, dissected leaves emerge salmon-pink, covering the bush in a soft peach glow, before maturing to a variegated lime-green and cream as summer progresses. Then, in autumn, they turn a uniform lime green before falling in winter.

Known as the ‘flamingo willow’, Salix integra ‘Hakuro-nishiki’ erupts into a fountain of colour every spring, with green, cream and powder-pink leaves. The tree has been grafted to grow in a standard lollipop form, with a clear stem and a ball of colour on top. Totally hardy, the flamingo willow is low maintenance and will make a colourful statement plant or, can be planted in pairs in large pots.
