Fully winter hardy, dogwoods are a popular shrub for any garden or even a large container as they are fairly unfussy and are both easy to grow and low maintenance, with a long season of interest – all year round!
The stunning, ever-changing foliage of this Japanese maple changes colour throughout the year, producing an amazing variety of tones at different seasons, bright orange in spring, greenish in summer and orange yellow in the autumn. Even in winter, when it loses its leaves, ’Orange Dream’ continued to thrill with its interesting, bright green bark.
Blood Grass will slowly form large clumps and looks amazing when planted en masse, with its dazzling red blades providing contrasts of colour and texture with the surrounding garden plants. Between June and August, clusters of fluffy, silvery flowers appear, adding yet more visual interest.
