Liriope muscari is an evergreen perennial with neat, low, grassy foliage, from which masses of blue-purple spikes, similar to grape hyacinths, emerge in autumn. It’s perfect for growing in a mixed herbaceous border and can be left undisturbed for many years to form low-maintenance ground cover. Tolerant of drought, it’s also suitable for growing beneath trees and shrubs.
