Anybody's Nerines showing any sign of flowering? Mine still have lovely strap like leaves and not a sign of any emerging flower spikes yet.

NOR MINE
oops
Much the same here daintiness.
I understand they like a summer baking and we haven't had any real heat at all
In the sticks near Peterborough
Mine too. Nice leaves but no sign of any flowers. Two of mt agapanthus didn't flower either.
Mine have lost their green leaves, are about 2 to 3 inches tall and just started budding up as they emerge from the ground. I noticed only yesterday in a garden just round the corner from me (only about 50 meters away) the nerines are about 8 to 10 inches tall and buds already breaking and showing colour. Maybe mine will still be in flower when their's have died off! All depends on the situation and weather, methinks. Here on the E.Norfolk coast the sun is shining it's little sox off at the moment, but don't think many of you are as lucky.
Definitely not enough sun here, they are far too wet, but they are always kept inside, except this year without hen I needed the greenhouse space so put them out, paying for it now, there's only a few in flower. There are lots of people that can leave them out in the garden, not here much to wet.
Mine's been in the hot tunnel and still no flower.
Moved most of my Nerine's from the back to front garden at the weekend, and spotted a tiny flower shoot just appearing on one of them (out of about 40 bulbs). The shock of the move (I had to be brutal), will probably have put paid to many flowers any time soon. Also managed to spear quite a few with the trowel when digging them out, the bulbs are so big, and planted so deep, it was tricky to figure out where to dig.
I only have one, ( rescued from a friend's garden as she was moving out) so I'm no expert, but I've always understood they like to have their noses just poking above ground ?
Keen, I reckon yours haven't read the books and are doing their own thing.

You're right, I just checked and it says just under the soil level, or half above. I was just about to take them out and plant less deeply, when I noticed that the clump I planted last year (just as deeply) have about 5 flower stalks! I think I will leave all well alone and see what happens. I only bought 6 bulbs originally, and now have about 40, so all good.
I think if your soil is well drained , you can get away with deeper planting.
Here in N. Devon, I'd not dare plant them in the ground. Mine is in a pot in the polytunnel
