Throughout the growing season I'll share my experience of growing the Seed Club crops in this monthly blog.
It's not often you get the chance to garden alongside thousands of other keen green-fingered types. With that in mind, I jumped at the chance to take part in the Gardeners' World Magazine Seed Club. I'm a gardener and garden writer living in the south-west. As well as feeding my young family out of our back garden, I squeeze in as many flowers as I can manage. This year I’m itching to sow the mouth-watering selection of flowers, veg, herbs and salads on offer through the Seed Club. The moment spring arrives I'll be there, seed trays and compost at the ready, full of excitement for the year ahead.Throughout the growing season I'll share my experience of growing the Seed Club crops in this monthly blog. It will be lovely to swap notes and compare experiences with you all, as we get to grips with growing everything from carrots to Coreopsis. I'll be growing the same seeds as you, at the same time, so we can compare triumphs and setbacks. In each blog, I'll be letting you know how my plants and seedlings are getting on, and passing on tips and advice so you can get the best from your own seeds. In Gardeners’ World Magazine, you'll find the Seed Club pages, with key sowing tasks for the month, advice and special offers. And on this website you'll find factsheets to print out and pin on the potting shed wall. If you haven’t done so already, you can sign up for monthly Seed Club updates here.So what are we all waiting for? Oh yes... spring. Before it arrives, I'm stocking up on seeds, seed compost, sorting out my trays, pots and propagators and putting up extra shelves in my greenhouse. Not long to wait now...

When I saw the title 'Seed Club' I thought it would be a place where gardeners would be able to swap seeds?

There has been a thread running here where forum members have been swapping seeds- some have even kindly given them away

Our seed swap is being very successful and will probably liven up again soon when the next round of sowing starts. I know I shall have extras, especially from those I saved from my own garden.

Try this link below, we are swapping seeds here online if you want to join in with us you can. I thought that the magazine was going to be like that as well but just buy seeds and have help instead which is nice as well.
