Hello GG, I have used my own seed for several years, but did not have a good crop this year. I'm going to get new cloves to plant and will only use them for about 3 or 4 years before replacing themimage

I had to give up growing garlic for space reasons but I always found it best to buy in good quality seed garlic. Plumper, healthier and certified disease-free.

  • Agree - viruses and rusts can build-up if you keep replanting your own cloves, which are really just clones of the original one so carry any infection.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
