strawberrys

hello i have strawberries in a hanging basket and now they are just beginning to redden is there something i should be doing now they are ripening i heard you have to lift them out or something ? can someone please let me know thank you

Let them ripen-they will- if they havent already -start producing runners which will give you new plants.

You dont want to keep a basket plant in the basket for more than a year- they will have exhusted all the nutrient in the compost so either best disposed of or planted in the garden -then you can start afresh for next year with the rooted runners
