Hanging baskets for March planting

Has anyone any bright ideas for plants to go in hanging baskets for planting now? The baskets will be replanted for summer display. Colin F

Just done five with violas-there are plenty about at present.

Still have winter pansies in mine, these will come down at the end of April though in readyness for my summer baskets

Thank you I have used these before but wondered if anyone used anything else?

I would have to agree that Pansies are probably your best bet at this time of year although many Garden Centres have Insane amounts of different colour Primulas which would last until May or so

Afraid I can only suggest Viola, Pansies or Primula. Or a foliage basket with grasses, Ivy, that sort of thing
