Lets Go To War!

The byline of the Problem Solving section includes a rather startling

reference to going to war with "weeds", "bugs" et all.

To my mind this represents a very unhealthy and non ecological approach

to gardening now being promoted by Gardeners World and a tacit endorsement

of widespread application of the insanely huge selection of very expensive 

and dangerous agrochemicals such as herbicides and pesticides weighing down 

the shelves of garden centres the length and breadth of the UK.

Exactly!

Yeah, we're on the road to self-destruct and when humans become a long distant memory, mother-earth will repair herself.
