I have had the same problem, the elephant garlic has been rubbish and some just never produced anything just rotted in the ground. I have started to pull up some of the autunm cropped, but have been told to chop the stalks down to around 10cms and leave in the ground as this will help increase the flavour of the cloves, I think I will try a few to see if it works. Has anyone else ever done this and had a good result.
