My two year old blackberry flowered abundantly this year and the early berries were large and well formed but after a few weeks the rest have shrivelled before they reached even the unripe red stage, I cut off buckets full of would be berries and their adjacent dead leaves. The plant generally looks very healthy. Too much water? too little water? Or what?

I would guess that they were too dry during the hot period we had
Thanks Fleurisa I thought so too especially as I was away for the last two weeks in June but I have watered well since then and the later fruit have gone the same way. you maybe right we have a light soil perhaps it dried quicker than I thought.
