I've seen similar threads in other sections but thought it would be nice if us veg growers had one of our own to share the things we grow and the way we grow them. Who doesn't like a good old nosey around someone else's plot?

I'll start us off with what really is our first harvest, picked yesterday evening.

A mix of soft and hard neck garlic.

There is no more glorious a taste than a ripe strawberry picked at the end of a long day.

Don't worry we did realise that big brown one was the seed potato, in the end!

I'll put some general lottie pics up soon when I've worked out why they keep appearing sideways. Looking forward to seeing everyone's lovely crops!

Right I've finally worked out how to rotate pictures so, this is what we started with almost a year ago. It's a new allotment site but someone had our plot for a short while before us. There was little work done apart from the small stoney path you can see below the weeds.

This is a picture from today, the path in the top picture is the same as the one below through the middle of the beds.

This was the back half of the plot which hadn't been worked since it was farmland.

And here it is now. Top right raspberries, just below is the strawberry patch, blueberries in the triangular bed in the middle and greengage, plum, cherry, blackcurrants all hiding a rhubarb bed on the top left. Yes, in the middle is a load of spuds, working the soil over so hopefully I won't have to.

And finally this is the middle, three quite big beds where are brassicas are growing away nicely.

Please ignore the weeds (like I've been doing ). It would be lovely to see some of yours too!
