 Have just moved house and have inherited this, I'm hopeless with gardening (although hoping to get better!) and would appreciate knowing what it actually is.

I think you need to hang on a little while and let it get a bit greener, it could  be anything looking at the picture

Ah, so it's the one that goes a lovely red later in the year? But doesn't it cause damp in the house? The previous residents had tied it to the house as its collapsing rather than climbing.
