Hi, this was bought for us and it was only two feet tall, shaped into a circle on a think trunk. im sure the tag said something like flamingo. unfortunately the dog chewed it to bits and it was just a small stump but in two years has grown back and is now almost as tall as the house, but i dont even know what it is!?

Looks like a Willow to me, Darren.  I think some of the smaller Japanese Salix are often grafted and looking at the base it looks like the rootstock may have taken over - if so, it may grow out of control as ordinary willows will grow into huge trees.

It possibly was Salix flamingo, with pretty pink variegated leaves. But it looks like the grafted top part has gone and as Bob says, the rootstock has taken over and you will have a huge willow tree too close to the house. I would get it out asap.
