We have been told that everything is 5 weeks behind this year; how on earth are the nurseries that have stands at the Chelsea Flower Show going to be able to get plants to flower on time?

The way they always do everything is bought on or held back depending on the plants-it might be a good year- those plants that have to be held back wont need to be artificially

You dont seriously think that all the plants shown magically perform for that one week in previous years-it has always been a juggling exercise-this year is no different.

Artjak, do you imagine the growers are just going to go into the garden and find everything at the peak of perfection?

The plants will have been controlled indoors to the maximum degree for months, no doubt.

I just think the logistics of getting everything to flower must be a nightmare!
